Perched atop Mt Stirling, Craig’s Hut offers stunning views of the ranges and is one of the region’s most photographed landmarks. Accessible by 4WD or 2WD followed by a short walk the view is well worth the visit. There are so many High Country huts worth visiting around the area, pop in store and grab a map before you head off on an adventure! Note: There will be seasonal road closures between June and November.

We are so lucky to have so many waterways close by filled with fresh water fish. These include Lake Eildon, Lake Nillahcootie and rivers such as the Delatite and  Howqua River. You can expect to catch trout, Murray Cod, Yellowbelly and Redfin.

Lake Eildonis on of Victoria's most popular inland waterways for recreational boating, Fishing, jet skiing and Houseboat hire. Covering an area of 138.3 km², there's plenty of room for all to enjoy!

Lake Nillahcootieis situated on the the Broken-River, just 25km outside of Mansfield towards Benalla. It's another great lake to fish, go for a picnic with the family or water ski. This beautiful location has plenty to offer.

Nestled in the High Country are a multitude of free campsites. You can choose to perch by the river, the lake or even up high in the mountains. These are perfect bases for your 4wd adventures, hiking and fishing. Let the kids roam free in the great outdoors and share those stories by the campfire.

Over 19 years ago, the Kirley family opened Mansfield's first dedicated hunting store, Mansfield Hunting and Fishing. Shane and Mandy’s children were shooting competitively at the time, and the family saw an opportunity to open a store.

A few years down the track the business expanded. Mandy & Shane took the opportunity to add fishing and camping to the store.

Nick, Shane & Mandys son, has been a part of the firearms industry for a long time, starting out as a firearm sales rep with one of our major suppliers then jumping back in store as the business began to grow. Nick brings a wealth of knowledge across the board and swapped out clay target shooting for deer hunting. A passion he pursues every weekend.

Mansfield Hunting and Fishing is located in the heart of the High Country surrounded by some of the best deer hunting areas, pristine lakes and rivers.
