Oz Braai

A word synonymous with Australia the world over, and especially with summertime in Australia, is “barbecue”.

For South Africans, though, the word is braai. As any South African will attest, nothing comes close to the woody, smoky aroma and flavour of a traditional fire-cooked braai, especially when it drifts across the backyard on a warm summer evening.
